Kler Lwee District Held Section Leader Training Commencement Ceremony

On the 28^th of October 2023, the Karen National Union (KNU) held the first Section Leader Training graduation ceremony in Dah Sue Yar Plaw, Kler Lwee Htu District.

The attendees of the ceremony included Brigade #3 Brigadier General Saw Lay Tharo, Captain Saw Ah Zet, Colonel Saw Pee Thae, Kler Lwee Htu District Secretary Padoh Saw Ka Neh Htoo Byaing, the secretary of Karen Women Organization (KWO) of Kler Lwee Htu District Naw Th’Bweh Paw, the secretary of Karen Youth Organization (KYO) of Kler Lwee Htu District Thra Saw Taw Doh Htoo, students and the community members. The Section Leaders who completed the training received certificates from the Brigadier General during the ceremony.

It was the first Section Leader Training with five instructors, and it was supervised by military leaders at the brigade level.

The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade #3 Headquarters, KNLA Battalion #7, #8, #9, and Karen National Defense Organization (KNDO) Battalion Section Leaders participated in the four-month training program, which ran from July to October 2023.

The training was both practical and lecture-based, with the goal of preparing the Section Leaders to lead their troops in their respective areas.

Only 28 trainees completed the training due to its difficulty; some trainees were unable to finish it.
