Hpa-An District Held the 32nd Karen National Police Force (KNPF) Day Ceremony

The 32^nd KNPF Day was celebrated on the 9^th of September 2023 in Hpa-An District.

Lieutenant served as the event master of ceremonies. Leading the salute and starting the ceremony with a rendition of the Karen national anthem were Colonel Saw Hsa Mu Say and Second Lieutenant Saw Hku Ghay.

Approximately 200 people attended and celebrated the ceremony, including the Joint General Secretary (2) of the Karen National Union (KNU), Padoh Saw Hla Tun, Padoh Saw Thamain Tun, Head of the Hpa-An District, Padoh Saw Aung Maw Aye, Member of the Central Executive Committee, Padoh Naw Dah Dah, Member of the Central Standing Committee, Padoh Mahn Kennedy, Member of the Central Standing Committee, Padoh Naw Marry Htay, Chief of the Central Police, Colonel Saw Kyi Noe, Head of the District Police, Lieutenant Colonel Saw Maung Kyi, the students, and members of the community.

Second Lieutenant Saw Yar Zar Hein read aloud the letter of congratulations from Karen National Union Chairperson Padoh Saw Kwe Htoo Win, while Second Lieutenant Saw August Star Wah read aloud in Burmese the speech delivered by the police chief. Then came the speech of encouragement from KNU's Joint General Secretary Padoh Saw Hla Tun, the Central Standing Committee member Padoh Saw Thamain Tun, the head of the Hpa-An District, and the history of the KNPF from the district's police chief, Lieutenant Colonel Saw Maung Kyi.

The 32nd KNPF Day was also celebrated with a song sung by the KWO of Hpa-An District and students from Hpa-An District High School. The ceremony concluded with the Karen National Anthem.
