Karen Youth Hold a Consultation at KNDO Headquarters

A three-day, Karen Youth Consultation, led by Karen youth, was held from the 29 of November to the 1st of December 2023 at the Karen National Defense Organization (KNDO) Headquarters, Muayepu.
In the consultation meeting, 85 youth leaders from 14 Karen youth-led organizations, including the Karen Youth Organization (KYO), participated. Karen National Union Joint General Secretary (2) Padoh Saw Hla Tun, Central Standing Committee Padoh Saw Kler Say, member of Central Executive Committee Padoh Saw Eh K’Lu Say, Central Standing Committee member Padoh Saw Popo Htoo Aung, Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Vice Chief-of-staff Lieutenant General Saw Baw Kyaw Hae, and Karen National Defense Organization (KNDO) Commander-in-chief Brigadier General Saw Shee Lay attended and gave encouragement speeches.
During the
three-day consultation meeting, various youth organizations presented their
activities. The activities of the Karen youth over the last 10 years and the current
political situation were reviewed and analyzed. Action plans were established for
the Karen youth to cooperate in the national cause in the future.
