ကေအဲန်ယူ−ကရင်အမျိုးသားအစည်းအရုံး နှင့် ကာကွယ်ရေးဦးစီးချုပ် ဗိုလ်ချုပ်ကြီး မင်းအောင်လိုင်နှင့် တွေ့ဆုံ

The Karen National Union’s 7 member delegation, led by KNU Chairman General Saw Mutu Sae Poe, left KNU Supreme Headquarters on 27^th November 2014 to hold a bi-monthly meeting with Burma’s Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in Naypyidaw.

The 7 member KNU delegation consisted of KNU Chairman General Saw Mutu Sae Poe, KNU General Secretary P’doh Saw Kwe Htoo Win, Chief of the Department of Defense P’doh Saw Roger Khin, KNU Central Executive Member P’doh Mahn Nyein Maung, KNU Standing Committee Members Major General Saw Isaac, P’doh Shwe Mawn, and Chairman's Political and Military Affairs Advisor Colonel Saw Htoo Htoo Lay.

The delegation arrived in Yangon on the evening of the 27^th November, and continued their journey to Naypyidaw the following morning. When the delegation arrived in Naypyidaw, they were received by Minister U Aung Min and had an informal meeting at his office.

The KNU delegation met Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at Bayinnaung Garden in Naypyidaw on the 29^th November 2014 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

The main objectives of the meeting were to reanalyze the Peace Process and discuss the current issues related to military affairs on both sides.

According to P’doh Saw Kwe Htoo Win, KNU General Secretary, "We held our bi-monthly meeting that we both agreed to at our previous meeting. The KNU raised issues that occurred since our previous meeting, such as the incidents between the DKBA and the Burmese Army, and the ongoing fighting in the North. We are concerned that these incidents may impact the Peace Process that is being implemented by President U Thein Sein’s government. We reanalyzed the Peace Process and pledged to find solutions and move forward together ".

Both sides plan to meet again; the date is yet to be confirmed.
